Kilcoleman is situated on The Bandon River which flows through some of the most scenic countryside in the South West of Ireland. For centuries it has been recognized as one of the best fly fishing locations in County Cork. It is 27 miles from Cork airport, and 6 miles west of the town of Bandon. The owner combines a life-long enthusiasm for fly fishing having inherited his skills from successive generations of fly angling ancestors dating back to the late seventeen hundreds when his family, The Lamb's, first purchased Kilcoleman. Kilcoleman is renowned for its hospitality. The owners David and Patricia Lamb make a particular effort to make their guests feel at home. Kilcoleman is "fly only" throughout the entire season for both salmon and trout. When the river is very low we can arrange Sea Bass fishing in our local estuaries. Read more about this on our fishery page. If you require a memorable holiday in a peaceful, un-spoilt environment, with an abundance of wild life, and the added bonus of Irish Hospitality, then Kilcoleman can offer you something quite unique.
